Reservation Telephone Cooperative

65th ANNUAL M

President Hoff called the meeting to order. Pastor Dan

Dapelo gave the invocation. President Hoff welcomed

all and thanked those who participated in the opening

ceremony along with the RTC staff for the meeting prepa-

rations. Human Resources Manager Gretchen Edwards

was named as Recording Secretary for the meeting and

Attorney Alicia Brenna was appointed Parliamentarian

of the meeting. There were 346 voting members present.

Secretary Sorenson declared the existence of a quorum.

President Hoff introduced Board members and spouses:

Glenn Schreiner, Jared and Candace Eagle, Terry and Marcia

Wilber, Paul and Sandi Wisness, Marlyn and LaDonna

Froseth, Vice President Barb and Doug Steinmetz, Secretary

Jennifer and Curtis Sorenson, and President Jeanette Hoff

and her husband, Steven Hoff along with CEO/GM Shane

Hart, Attorney Alicia Brenna, Chief Financial Officer

Dave Aamot and Recording Secretary Gretchen Edwards.

Several special guests were also introduced.

Amotion was made and seconded to dispense with the reading

of the Notice of Annual Meeting and Proof of Mailing. M/C

A motion was made and seconded to dispense with the

reading of the 64th Annual Meeting Minutes and to ap-

prove as per copy in Annual Meeting Book. M/C

A motion was made and seconded to dispense with the

reading of the Nominating Committee report and to ap-

prove the 2016 Nominating Committee Report as printed

in the Annual Meeting booklet. M/C

Secretary/Treasurer Sorenson introduced the candidates

for director districts. Candidates for District 1A are Angela

Moe andWayne Skarda. Candidate for District 4 is Jeanette

Hoff and she is running unopposed. Candidate for District 6

is Barbara Steinmetz and she is running unopposed.

A motion was made and seconded to cast a unanimous

ballot for Jeanette Hoff for District 4 and Barbara Steinmetz

for District 6. M/C

Each candidate for District 1A was invited to speak for 3-5

minutes.

Ballots were distributed by RTC Employees to the voting

delegates for the election of a director for District 1A and

then collected to be counted by the Election Committee.

President Hoff introduced Marketing Manager Shannon

Stafslien as chairperson of the Annual Meeting Committee.

There were drawings for door prizes.

President Hoff gave a short report on the changes over the

past year. We had a new CEO, Shane Hart, and two new

board members elected last year and now have another new

board member being elected this year with the retirement of

Director Paul Wisness. RTC is working to build a faster,

more dependable network. We are close to 75% completed

in reaching all our members with fiber connections. We are

dedicated to bringing quality broadband to all members.

The cost to complete all fiber connections is great, and RTC

is committed to completing the last 25% using RTC cash

reserves. Because of this commitment, the Board of Direc-

tors has been reviewing capital credit obligations and RTC

will make a general retirement when it is financially viable to do

so as determined by the Board of Directors. The Board will

never cease to review our financial situation as we upgrade

The 65th Annual Meeting of Reservation Telephone Cooperative was held on Thursday,

June 16, 2016 at the Parshall High School.

The registration and meal by Kyle’s Katering

was held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The colors were presented by Dave Uhlich and Daryl

Johnson with percussion by Remington Bigelow. Lexi Blunck sang the National Anthem.
