www.SKTMainstreet.comWe Love to Lend a Hand as Volunteers
When you’re out and about in the communities
we serve, there’s a good chance you may run
into employees of SKT doing some kind of
volunteer work.
They may be helping with an event at the local school, selling raffle
tickets for a charity fundraising event, throwing candy from a service
truck in a local parade, flipping hamburgers or turning hot dogs on a
grill, collecting food or clothing for low-income neighbors, or lending
their talents to a Chamber of Commerce committee.
Sometimes this volunteer work happens individually. Sometimes
it’s done jointly by a team of SKT employees. But it’s always a
reflection of a sincere desire to give back to the communities in
which we live and work.
We want to have a hand in making the world a better place, and we
look forward to volunteering alongside you in the years to come.

Sharing A Recipe With You
Fresh Apple Cake
Grease angel food or bundt cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour.
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
3 cups peeled, chopped apples
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Jeanne Long, Executive Assistant to the President,
has fond memories of her mother, Jule, making this
cake. Jeanne says, “It was a special treat to come
home from school and have a slice of warm apple
cake waiting for my brother and me.” A glaze or
sifting of powdered sugar could be added, if you
like. It’s a great recipe to make for this fall season!
