SKT MyHome Lets You Manage
and Monitor from Anywhere
S KT is offering an exciting new product
called MyHome, which combines
home automation with peace of mind.
Unlike a security system, MyHome does
not utilize “arming” or “disarming” when
you’re leaving or arriving home, but
instead relies on a synergy of Rules, Modes
(Home, Away, Vacation, Night), and
Contacts to see and control your home.
The possibilities are virtually endless.
Get started with a Watch Package (1 Hub,
1 Mini Door/Window Contact, and 1
Indoor/Outdoor Camera) or a Control
Package (1 Hub, 1 Mini Door/Window
Contact, 1 Light Module, and 1 Thermo-
stat). Depending on your needs, you can
add more contacts, cameras, modules,
motion sensors/detectors, appliance
modules, light switch dimmers, carbon
monoxide detectors, water sensors, and
door locks.
With MyHome, you’ll get real-time
notifications of what’s happening at your
home and/or be able to control many
aspects of your home directly from your
smartphone or computer. There’s just a
small monthly fee, and no term contract
is required. You own and maintain the
equipment after purchase.
Stephen Smothers, who recently had
a Watch Package installed at his home
west of Clearwater, likes it so much he
immediately added another camera! He
says, “Adding cameras is like adding new
windows, except you can look out these
windows from anywhere in the world. I
like that.”
What are some ways SKT MyHome
is being utilized by customers?
• Farmers can see exactly what the weather
is like at home when they’re out of town,
and be able to monitor a shed or livestock.
• Homeowners can remotely unlock
doors or provide specific codes for
housekeepers, plumbers, or extermina-
tors instead of hiding keys.
• Vacationers can turn their home’s lights
on and off automatically or control them
remotely—including dimming—while
on a trip.
In addition, customers with a MyHome
water sensor will be alerted to early detection
of costly leaks and floods caused by sump
pumps, water heaters, air conditioners,
heavy rains, and more. Although called
MyHome, there are many business appli-
cations for this technology as well.
