Business Solutions for Fall 2019

FALL 2019 5 SOLUTIONS He added, “I was working on a project at our clinic after hours and accidentally cut through some wiring, causing our phones to go out. I called Guthrie Center Communications, and someone was here within the hour to fix the wiring so we could be ready for business the next day. I feel like, as a business, we’re a priority. They go the extra mile to take care of us.” Healthy Relationships, Thriving Communities Allen Family Chiropractic is actively involved in the community, which is a characteristic shared by Guthrie Center Communications. Dr. Allen is a member of the Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce, helps with the Guthrie Center Development Group, and serves as the on-field physician for ACGC varsity football games.  “It’s as though Allen Family Chiropractic is part of a living organism called Guthrie County, with all of us doing our part to keep the communities healthy and thriving. There’s a strong sense of community among business owners here. Guthrie Center Communications is a vital part of that organism, keeping us all connected to each other and to the rest of the world. In a bigger city, patients are patients, friends are friends, and family is family. In a community like Guthrie Center, those lines are much less defined. Patients are friends that often feel like fam- ily. Guthrie Center Communications’ employees feel like part of the family to us.We’ve had a great relationship with them for years, and we see their employees at community events. It’s a perfect example of what it takes to make a community thrive,”Dr. Allen said. Addressing Future Challenges Looking ahead to the future, Dr. Allen hopes to continue to expand the reach of Allen Family Chiropractic to the family and friends of patients and the next generation. He also wants to address the many challenges his patients will face. Dr. Allen explained, “People are experiencing more stress, paying higher health care costs, and taking more medication than ever before. In general, they’re looking for answers that are safe, affordable, and effective. We’re able to help with these challenges and look forward to being part of the solution to the current health care crisis in our county, our state, and our community. While we currently provide many types of treatment, we’re excited to add even more in the near future. It’s our goal to continue to offer Guthrie Center and all of Guthrie County the best care possible.” WHO’S MINDING YOUR BUSINESS? Bill Dorsett Plant Manager Bill Dorsett started working for Panora Telco in 1977 as summer help. “I’ve been here ever since,” he said. Dorsett now holds the position of Plant Manager. His primary job responsibilities are the following: • Oversee day-to-day operations • Assign service orders and trouble tickets • Plan construction projects • Maintain the outside plant  What does Dorsett find most reward- ing about his position? He replied, “It’s being able to say Panora Telco has a state-of-the-art plant and can provide the most advanced communications service to our customers.”  When not at work, he keeps busy with family activities. “I have four children and seven grandkids with number eight on the way. I love spending time with them. My wife, Denise, and I enjoy going to the race track during the summer and other outdoor activities.”  In my opinion, the customer service is what sets Guthrie Center Communications apart. When I have an issue, they’ll be on it immediately.” — DR. ANDY ALLEN, OWNER, ALLEN FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC Dr. Allen adjusts a patient.
