Each year, Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom proudly awards six $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from the public high schools in our service area. These scholarships are given in memory of Eunice B. Farr, the former owner and operator of Waitsfield-Fayston Telephone Company, and a champion of education and community service. The Eunice B. Farr Memorial Scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated consistent academic growth, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuing their education at a college or trade school. We are pleased to announce this year’s scholarship recipients: • Hayden Bassett – Vergennes Union High School • Lilee Berg – Mount Mansfield Union High School • Holden Kinsey – Champlain Valley Union High School • Brailey Livingston – Mount Abraham Union High School • Grisel Mego Vasquez – Harwood Union High School • Avery Vant – Middlebury Union High School To all six students, we extend our heartfelt congratulations. We are proud to support your journey and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. Here’s to a bright future — powered by dedication, opportunity, and community! The goal of this initiative, organized by the Richmond Historical Society, is to refresh the beloved landmark just in time for visitors and the upcoming wedding season. The Richmond Historical Society expressed its sincere gratitude to WCVT for our unwavering support and the invaluable assistance of our bucket truck, which significantly simplified the cleaning process. Cornerstone Group © 2025 West Bolton Golf Club, located in Jericho, Vermont, is a family business that goes back for generations. Xenephon and Irene Wheeler owned the property as “homesteaders,” and Xenephon wanted to keep its beauty and openness intact. So, he decided to put in a golf course with the help of some friends in the area. In 1983, he started work on building the original 9 holes of West Bolton Golf Club. In 1985, he recruited his grandson, Jeff Brown, to take part in transforming the land to an 18-hole public golf course. Jeff and his wife Mary Brown are now the owners. The course’s unique design manages to help new players relax while also challenging veteran golfers. It boasts beautiful mountain views in a quiet, natural landscape, and is a “hidden gem” golf course that offers an enjoyable sense of discovery to golfers, making them want to return again and again. The property also hosts events including golf tournaments, fundraisers, wedding parties, corporate outings, bridal and baby showers, and family reunions. Jeff Brown said, “West Bolton Golf Club is driven by hard work and strong family values. We pride ourselves in offering friendly and helpful customer service, great course conditions, and fabulous views.” Given all of its activities, West Bolton Golf Club needs to stay connected with reliable communications services. That’s where WCVT comes into play — with fiber internet and voice services. West Bolton Golf Club Is Designed for Fun Business Spotlight:
