RANGE TEAM SPOTLIGHT: MARKETING TEAM What do you enjoy most about working for Range? Linda: Our company is very community minded and participates in most local events, organizations, and sports in our exchange areas. I’m proud to be a part of that culture at Range. LaRae: What I enjoy most about working for Range is our outreach into the community. I’m excited to be a part of how we interact with our customers and find ways to serve in our communities. Jessica: When I left the health care industry, my goal was to work for a company that impacted agriculture and family farms. With Range, I’m able to show our rural communities and customers howwe bring the latest technology to them. I know how important it is for our rural customers to have connectivity for their daily lives or a video call to a doctor. Lance: Range places a high value on the people we work with and the communities we serve. We always put people and community first. Is there anything you’d like to share about your family and/or hobbies? Linda: I love exploring and camping in Wyoming with my husband and three dogs. I garden, collect Western art, and just feel blessed to live in the best state in our country! LINDA WEEKS Marketing Manager Linda has beenwith Range for seven years. Jessica: My hobbies include volunteering with my local Kiwanis Club, helping move bales and work cattle at our family farm, traveling, and staying current on digital marketing. Lance: An uncomplicated life in Wyoming alone is a vast hobby, saturated with adventure, nature, and wonderment in every season. Closer to home, I enjoy my living space and yard with an evening glass of wine or a trip to the brewery for live music! What do you like best about working on the marketing team? Linda: Expressing my creativity is key to my happiness. My favorite part of this team is working together to think outside the box and create marketing ideas to reach our customer base. LaRae: As the newest member of the marketing team, I’m excited to be able to use my love of creativity and numbers to grow and help the team. Jessica: My favorite part is combining our wide variety of experiences and creative talents. Lance: Working with such creative people is what makes every day enjoyable. Brainstorming sessions with my fellow marketing team members are some of the most energizing and exhilarating times we have together. Do you have a favorite yearly community event hosted by Range? Linda: I love The Great Pumpkin Hunt held in October in six communities in our exchange areas. People look forward to searching for the pumpkin to win the grand prize, and there’s great interaction and participation. It’s so much fun! LaRae: My favorite holiday of the year is Christmas, so my favorite event is Trim a Tree. The community shows up even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Jessica: I enjoy any Range event where I can engage with our customers and assist them with their questions or introduce them to new technology. Lance: I enjoy each of our events for different reasons. However, an event I look forward to each year is Wild West Brewfest in Dubois, Wyoming. The local folks in Dubois are some of the friendliest people out there, always ready for a good laugh or to share a story.
Cornerstone Group © 2023 OCTOBER 2023 One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company opened in 2016 — a fact that’s prominently displayed in the backlit “EST. 2016” sign in the bar area of the new location in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Owners Binky and Jenn Fisher are working hard to get this larger location, across the street from the current one, open for business by mid-September. RANGE BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: ONE EYED BUFFALO BREWING COMPANY No stranger to the food and beverage industry, Jenn began working in restaurants at the age of 14 as a dishwasher. Her mother owned a small restaurant in Douglas, Wyoming, and after Binky and Jenn got married, they bought a restaurant in Dubois, Wyoming. Since One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company is a mouthful, most people call it One Eyed Buffalo or just OEB. Binky and Jenn, an ambitious pair, credit much of their success to their employees, who they fondly refer to as “our OEB family.” Although their schedules are quite busy, Jenn says, “It’s important to check in with our OEB family as much as possiblewith a simple text or call. I like to let them know I’m here, and that I care.” In addition to their OEB family, Binky and Jenn have six children between the two of them, five grandchildren, and another one on theway. In its seven years in Thermopolis, OEB has become a big part of the town and well supported by its residents and those from surrounding communities. Known for quality menu items, good beer, and lively atmosphere, OEB has a consistent following. Jenn said, “We needed a larger place with a bigger kitchen so we can accommodate as many people as possible. Limited space has been an issue since the beginning.” The new OEB location is twice as large and will be able to seat 174 guests, up from its current capacity of 90. Every interior detail has been carefully chosen, from the combination of textures, wood finishes, and art to the grand stack-stone fireplace in the restaurant’s center. Currently there are 57 menu items available for lunch and dinner. Jenn and her staff are creating two separate menus, lunch and dinner, for the upcoming opening at the new location. She said, “There are also going to be a few surprises that I won’t share with you yet.” Range’s voice service, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and security cameras are vital to OEB. When the new location opens, it’ll be equipped with 45 security cameras. In addition to providing peace of mind, the stored footage has also aided local law enforcement in discovering relevant information about situations in the downtown area. Their hard work is evident, but Binky, Jenn, and their family enjoy occasional time away visiting Florida, Mexico, or anywhere with a beach, sunshine, and a golf course. They also spend time during the summer months camping, boating, and visiting with their friends at the Marina. The new location of OEB will be at 535 Broadway Street in Thermopolis. Call OEB at 307-864-3555 or visit www.oneeyedbuffalobrewingwyo.com. The current location is open seven days a week from 11am – 9pm.
