4 Summer 2023 BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT This growing family business helps crops (and communities) grow Pederson became a CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) in 1991, graduated from Kansas State University with an agronomy degree in 1990, and married the love of his life, Wendy, in 1993.They started Pederson Seed & Services in 2000, utilizing his background in crop consulting and crop advising on dryland and irrigated wheat, sorghum, alfalfa, corn, sunflowers, soybeans and feed sources for farmers in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Pederson became a TSP (Technical Service Provider) in 2007. Family Helping Farmers “Pederson Seed & Services is a family business. Wendy is Office Manager – Team Support, and our son, Trevor, joined the business full-time last spring. Our daughter Sydney is also involved and will begin her studies in the fall at the University of Missouri-Kansas City,” said Pederson. He continued, “We believe we’re selling more than just a bag of seed or some soil sampling. We’re selling an agronomic system. We work closely with our customers to help themmake decisions that are right for each acre—agronomically, environmentally, and economically.
