10 www.alliancecom.net Get Equipped for Faster Internet Make sure your router is ready for your free speed upgrade coming soon From time to time, Alliance adjusts our Internet speed packages to ensure we’re providing you with the bandwidth you need now and years into the future. Over the next few months, we’ll be transitioning customers to higher Internet speeds for no additional charge. To maximize your new speed, you should verify with your wireless router’s manufacturer that the uplink/Internet port can support speeds of at least 250 Mbps. Visit the manufacturer’s website and contact its Customer Support with your router’s model number to check on speed capabilities. Ideally, you’ll want an AC or AX router that is less than 2-3 years old. Just like cell phones and computers, routers should be updated every few years if you want the optimal online experience. The information on page 11 will help you decide if you need a new router to accommodate faster Internet speeds. For resi- dential customers, Alliance can help if you need a new router and aren’t comfortable installing and maintaining it by yourself.
