They provide turnkey services ranging from design and programming to construction, completions, and maintenance. Growth from Dedication and Innovation The company is headquartered on the Baker family land approxi- mately seven miles northwest of Mandaree. A second North Dakota location opened south of Alexander in 2018 to meet the increasing demand for services and provide better coverage and quicker response time across the Bakken. More than 90 employees currently work for Baker Consulting. Both Dr. Baker and Jason Baker were raised on the family’s ranch in western North Dakota, on land passed down through generations. This upbringing provided firsthand experience with the changes brought about by oil and gas development. While Baker Consulting started as a civil engineering company, it quickly and strategically evolved into a premier oil field service provider with nine divisions.
