RTC's Communicator for Summer 2018

8 SUMMER 2018 Business is Blooming for Florists RTC services help five floral shops build stronger relationships Fanta “C” Floral New Town • 701-627-5130 The “C” in Fanta “C” Floral stands for Catherine, as in owner Catherine Turcotte. But it could just as easily stand for custom, since the shop specializes in custom floral and gifts. Explains Turcotte, “Flowers are our focus, but we also do custom metal work. For example, we can take someone’s tattoo design and turn it into a metal plaque. We also offer Native American and Mexican American purses and other gift items.” Turcotte regularly works with seven vendors, six of which are out of state. “I often talk to them on the phone to order after reviewing their websites. This gives me a chance to build rela- tionships, since I don’t see them in person,” she says. Some Fanta “C” Floral customers are older and not comfortable with ordering flowers online for delivery in another state, so Turcotte does it for them. She notes, “I go online and look for florists in that zip code, then choose a local ‘Mom and Pop’ shop to call.” An RTC employee was Turcotte’s very first customer, and she’s grateful for the company’s continuing support. “Our internet and phone services work great. There’s seldom a problem, but if one occurs, RTC fixes it quickly,” she says. Beginning June 1, 2018, Fanta “C” Floral will close its 221 Main Street location and set up shop inside the Jason’s Superfoods grocery store at 975 Eagle Drive. Adds Turcotte, “We’ll offer the same products, just in a new place.” Florists bring color and beauty to life’s special occasions. Along with design talent, they need the ability to connect with wholesalers and fellow florists in other places—via internet and phone services from RTC. We’re pleased to be part of these arrangements. BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT Catherine Turcotte, Fanta “C” Floral
